Preventative
Maintenance
Atlantic Elevator South provides elevator preventative maintenance
programs tailored to your requirements. This would include programs
that can take into account your budget, the age and condition of
the equipment and how busy the elevators are in any given location.
We offer everything from a comprehensive monthly Complete Maintenance
Program to Quarterly Lubrication Services, depending on the variables
unique to your facility. Once our service team meets with you and
surveys the elevator equipment, we would develop a preventative
maintenance schedule that would ensure that your equipment will
run safely and dependably and will also extend its useful lifespan.
Elevator
Modernizations
Over many years, elevators and their components wear out and, in
some cases, become obsolete.
Atlantic Elevator South is at the forefront of providing our customers
with the latest and highest quality non-proprietary elevator modernization
equipment. We have been featured in an international trade magazine
for providing Brown University with modernized elevators that actually
feed electrical power back into the power grid, thereby saving
untold dollars well into the future. We modernize all makes and
models of equipment and replace components that will improve the
performance of your elevators for many years to come. While many
companies attempt to provide proprietary systems in order to prevent
other companies from working on the equipment, Atlantic Elevator
South believes in installing non-proprietary components. In this
way, the building owner is not held captive to only one Elevator
Company in servicing their elevators. From the smallest two story
hydraulic elevator to high rise applications, we have modernized
hundreds of elevators of all types with terrific results. We can
also offer long term strategies that will allow you to budget for
any future elevator upgrades.
Hydraulic
Jack Replacements
Prior
to 1972, hydraulic elevators were installed
with underground jack cylinders with
a single bottom and little to no protection
against electrolysis. Current code
requirements dictate that these hydraulic
jack cylinders be replaced with ones
with a double bulkhead and PVC protection.
We have replaced many of these old
cylinders that were badly corroded
and posed a serious safety concern
to both the riding public and the environment.
We would be happy to survey your equipment
to determine if your elevator was installed
prior to 1972 or if determine the possible
causes for an unexplained loss of oil
out of the hydraulic system.
Americans
With Disabilities Act Upgrades
In order to comply with ADA requirements, there are many items
on elevators that should be addressed. Everything from the height
of the pushbuttons and handrails to visual and audible signals
all contribute to aiding passengers with disabilities. We would
be happy to perform an ADA audit on your elevator system and make
recommendations in order to meet compliance with these Federal
Regulations.
Firefighter
Service Upgrades
Many elevators in our area are now required to be updated to the
current codes for firefighter service operation. Once we survey
your elevator equipment, we will map out the most cost effective
manner to meet these requirements and contribute to the safety
of your building and its occupants.
Elevator
Safety Tests
Elevators in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are required to be
tested on an annual basis. We pride ourselves on ensuring that
testing is done on time and the proper paperwork is filed with
the State in order to keep your safety certificates current. If
you have violations that need to be abated and are not covered
under a maintenance contract, please call us for a competitive
price to correct the deficiencies. We have saved building owners
thousands of dollars over the years by providing them with alternative
quotations vs. our competition to perform this type of work.
